Last night we had the pleasure of attending the Graphics Excellence Awards celebration hosted by the Great Lakes Graphics Association (GLGA) at the Medinah Shrine Center in Addison, Illinois.
This is an event we look forward to all year long. It’s an honor to be nominated for a GLGA award and an even greater honor to win, since each project is judged by seasoned peers from the marketing, design and printing industries.
We were especially excited for the 2015 awards, since several major projects we had completed last year had been nominated. By the end of the evening, we’d earned accolades for 4 projects.
The big winner was the “Draped in Confidence” brochure created for medical supplier Medline, named Best in Category for Special Effects Printing.
High-five to all our colleagues at Medline, with special thanks to Senior Designer Mike Gotti, the talent who brought this visually engaging piece to life.
We’re grateful to American Litho Senior Project Director Jim Severyns, Pre-Production Manager Tim Gaw and Customer Service Rep Pam Cortez, who assured that all went smoothly from start to finish.
Medline’s “Foot & Ankle Series” also received GLGA’s Award of Excellence. Graphic Designers Mike Gotti and Morgan West are the rock stars behind this one. Jim Severyns also guided the production of this key project for American Litho.
A leading women’s retail chain earned the GLGA Certificate of Merit for its 2015 direct mail series, which American Litho is very proud to have planned, printed and mailed from our Carol Stream headquarters. Congrats to ALitho team members Frank Arostegui and Sam Dentino for their exceptional work on behalf of this client.
Also recognized with a GLGA Certificate of Merit: eye-popping rack cards, brochures, park maps and guides from Turnstile, Inc., created for Six Flags Corp. Big shout-out to American Litho Senior Account Exec Glenn Chelius and Customer Service Rep Cyndie Deiber for their dedication to every detail of this project.
I can’t say enough about how proud we are to serve the strategic and creative teams associated with these leading brands. Taking on these complex, challenging jobs is a privilege in itself. To be recognized for the quality of the work we do is the greatest reward we could possibly receive – especially when the votes come from industry colleagues whose work we also admire. We’re excited to see what happens as these projects advance to the national competition hosted by Printing Industries of America (PIA) later this year.
